With a socialization in hardcore and punk rock and all the associated values, as well as years of experience in other bands (such as Backstreet Noise, Deathjocks, Anti-Control, Plastikschmidt), the members of Jack Torrance consisting of Matze (voc, git), Franz (git, voc), Christiane (b) and Eric (dr) are not only clear about what they don't want, but what they want:
Live out emotions and awaken emotions.
Never half-hearted, always out with all their heart and soul.
Anger management and poetry.
The band's first album "flickering lights" proves all this. Powerful, loud, emotional, somewhere between Hot Water Music and Touché Amore.
Combining different styles makes Jack Torrance an extraordinary and diverse band. The songs are lyrically political, with a carried, personal and lyrical note. The sound is sometimes hard and driving forward and at the same time hopeful and emotional.
